Burdened by a power he doesn't fully understand, Shogun is drawn to the SuperWrestlers looking for hope, the hope to control the growing energy inside. Initially hoping that the Prize would help him tame the power, Shogun succeeded and became the Master Wrestler at Night of the SuperWrestlers, but with a hidden cost.
Through the Prize, he communicated with the mysterious Catalyst Tamborr, the seeming mastermind behind the SuperWrestlers, who teased that Shogun may serve a greater purpose. Shogun did as Tamborr asked, successfully defending the Prize against Destructo at SuperWrestlers Strike Back, but was seemingly betrayed at Return of the SuperWrestlers while defending against Ry-Dahl. During the bout, Tamborr appeared on the SuperWrestlers screen and removed his helmet, inexplicably revealing the face of Shogun himself. Ry-Dahl took advantage of the distraction, and used a low blow to steal away the Prize.
Now without the means to control his power, the future and fate of the man known as the Shogun is currently in doubt. His situation was further complicated by the appearance of Syphon, a mysterious warrior who intends to claim Shogun's power for his own.
